The best chiffon cake I ever made!!! Whoohoo!

Yes.... it was the best.... After about 5 years of having the bad experience of baking the world's worst cake (which turned out to have 40 grams of salt instead of just a pinch, which the recipe called for), I decided to face my fear and ta-dah! Nice and yummy yuzu flavored chiffon cake (yuzu is a Japanese citrous fruit). Well, the recipe called for a lemon instead of yuzu, but I used it all up to make a honeyed lemon slices (just dump honey on slice lemons and soak in its broth overnight). Such miscalculation occured this time, but well... it all turned out to be the best.

: )
Merry Christmas, everyone!

OMG

I suck majorly in scanning. I scanned two pages of mangas I created in order to edit in computer, only to find out that I need editing in order to edit the file. I didn't know why books kept on mentioning to scan "line art" instead of finished (the one on the tone step already).... When I try to erase grey parts, I erase toner instead! Arrrrgh! Ok.... I am talking in an alien language. Must stop doing that....

However, no matter how much I contemplate on how to use tones that my friend gave me for Christmas, I can't figure out how. Yes... it's a cool background graphics, but ones that are hard to use.... I still need to figure out her Christmas present and her birthday's so... should I create one of those manga drawing with her tone and give it? I wonder if it's ok....

とほほ。。。 oy vey....

I think I haven't translated for close to three weeks now. It's not that I don't like the assignment but the fact that I am currently too busy with my work to bother with it. However, I am trying to practice drawing manga, and my friend gave me an early Christmas present last night, which turned out to be ten types of toner. I was happy that she is encouraging me to continue with my hobby, but there was a slight a bit of a problem.

She doesn't read manga.

Well... except once for Death Note. Due to this, she gave me what she considered to be a "cool" toner instead of useful gradiation ones that I asked her to get. "Cool" turned out to be butterflies, and all sorts that you'd find in shojo mangas that authors wanted to fill a white space with. Not really practical for shonen mangas I'm currently working on....
